About Me

I started my counselling studies in 2010. It seemed a natural progression for me and I love the work.

Originally, over 30 years ago, I trained as a nurse. My work, particularly that with terminal patients, let me to believe there must be something more I could offer. So began my exploration of meditation, spirituality and therapeutic body energy work. I came to realise that the client’s self-awareness is core to any lasting and effective healing taking place. It brings choice and new possibilities. I wanted to learn how to offer that space through counselling.

I chose to train as a Person-Centred Counsellor because I believe the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor is at the heart of effective therapy. I aim to be as understanding, accepting and genuine as I can be.

Over the past 14 years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including general counselling, mental health services, specialist bereavement support, and short-term, solution-focused employee assistance programmes. This has given me the privilege of supporting people from many walks of life, facing a wide range of challenges.

Within this relationship I hope you will be able to explore what is troubling you, deepen your self-awareness, and feel empowered to make changes that bring greater clarity and balance to your life.

I aim to provide a safe space for you where your self-awareness can blossom and where you feel supported to make any changes in your life that are needed.

Please feel free to give me a ring and we can arrange an appointment to discuss what’s going on for you and

how I can best support you.
